  • 307 GLOW troubleshooting

I recently got a 307 and I can't get the GLOW software to work, it says Device disconnected...

I am using a Gigabyte H370N WIFI motherboard. I think it is the DWE connection? I plug it into the usb connector of the motherboard and it lists in device manager as unknown usb device(device descriptor request failed). The case shows the clock in white and the led buttons don't control anything. Any troubleshooting tips?

    Hello,

Seems like you just need to reset the front panel. To do this, go inside the chassis and remove the battery (It should look like a circle as shown in the photo), wait for five seconds and put it back. Then press the button next to it. This should fix your issue. 52287118_372729626850105_4286541609547333632_n.jpg

That worked! I had to make sure I unplugged the power cable when I did it.

            Hello,

So are you unable to connect with GLOW2? If so, are you seeing an error message?

              it says "device disconnected"
also when the DWE connector is connected to the motherboard even the default effects are lagging/stopping so we have disconnected the cables for now
only two out of the 5 cases are being recognized and working correctly

Ok, double check the USB cable and the SATA cables are connected properly. Sounds basic, but sometimes they can be a little loose if not connected properly. Also, are you using Windows 10 on all five cases? If the problem still persists, please send photos of the error message to johnny.gomez@in-win.com. This will help a lot. Thanks for your time and patience.

Hi, are you using the 307? If so, you need the GLOW software found here: http://www.inwin-style.com/public/en...uct_col_title1 Not the GLOW2. If this isn't the case, let us know.

Hi Johnny - I am experiencing the same exact problem as wizzgaming above with inwin 309 case. The lights looked to be working as normal when I power the PC on, the brightness/mode buttons on the side work etc. As soon as Windows would start loading, the lights stop doing the set mode and sit there just kind of flashing between two colors not doing the pattern any longer. The buttons on the side also stop functioning and do nothing once Windows has started. Glow2 software states Device disconnected for me as well. I tried 2 different USB ports on the motherboard for the DWE cable, same results. At this point I have removed the DWE cable so that at least the default settings work correctly, however I would really like to know if there is a fix for this so I can use the Glow2 software to customize.

                        Hello,

What version of Windows are you running? Also, if possible, please upload the error message you are receiving. That would help us a lot in identifying the issue. Thanks in advanced!

                          Windows 10 Home 10.0.18362

I have been unable to fix the issue. It's worth noting this is a brand new PC and it immediately did not work. When I found it wasn't working I also tried multiple BIOS versions for my motherboard... tried putting the DWE cable in the other USB port on my motherboard. - and I tried fresh installing Windows, before and after updates, before and after manually installing drivers, etc. I have been unable to get it to connect to the glow2 software in any number of configurations. And again, I have to unplug the DWE cable to get it to function in the default modes at all. Otherwise it malfunctions when Windows starts. I ensured nothing was disabled in the BIOS, or configured incorrectly, as well.

                            Hello,

To speed up the process, let's move over to email. Please email johnny.gomez@in-win.com.

In this email, can you answer the following for me?

Did you connect the audio devices such as the speakers? If yes, please check if they are working properly. And can you include the photos as to how you connected the DWE and SATA cables? Thanks in advanced.
