  • MS04 compatible with HGST Ultrastar He8 8-10 Tb drives with Power Disable Feature?

I'm going to upgrade couple of drives in home server (which is in MS04 case) and read some user reviews about new HGST Ultrastar He8 (He10) HDD. Some users got problems with this drives due Power Disable Feature (https://documents.westerndigital.com...isable-pin.pdf). So I want to know is MS04 with SATA 6Gb/s backplane compatible with this feature or not. Or maybe someone have tested HGST He8 (He10) drives with MS04 ?

wsotest512 InWin MS04 6Gb/s backplane is designed for Mini-SAS or SATA HDD, we recommend checking out our compatibility list before purchasing components, and please note that the tests conducted in InWin labs may not have covered every aspect.

      Administrator_MD1, thanks for links.
I have already checked this documents and thats why I'm asking here )
Compatibility list for MS04 is quite short and not fully covered all HDD models on market.

wsotest512 MS04 supports Mini-SAS or SATA 6Gb/s interface, however, we don’t have HGST He8 (He10) HDD in hand so that's why we recommend checking out our compatibility list to avoid any damages. We have been striving to improve product compatibility with peripherals and really sorry for the inconvenience you are encountering.
